This was a full 30 seccond ad made for AT&T showcasing their Go Phone plan.

It was made with they guys from Upstairs in Miami (great guys by the way) and it was really fun to do… most of it…

The water burst was a complete nightmare! but i think the final result looks kinda cool.

I basically made the whole piece sans the 3D elements (the parking meter, coins and the fire hydrant) built, of course, from the graphic elements from the AT&T packet.

So…

Yeah…

This is a piece made for Discovery En Español as a sizzle reel to showcase their big shows for the beginning of 2011

I don’t take credit for the whole thing of course… just the title work.

A Flyer i made for the show of my former band Piso23. Every time we play a show in a local called The Moulin Rouge we make it a theme party (usually Action Movies) and this was the third installment.

The second one was actually better, because the flyers were actually 30 second mini trailers and if you wanna, you can check them out in YouTube (because I lost the original files and that’s all there is of them)

This are a couple of opens we made for the “My Favorite” segment on the MGM Channel. This are the 60 second and 30 second versions. They are supposed to work as guy/girl depending on the feature of the day (more action oriented / more romance oriented)

This was a fun project because we got to go to the studio for a change an produce the shots with the models in site. We prepared a library of various footage lines running on black and actually project them on the models and shoot it on a Canon 5D.

I love projects that take me out of the computer and into actual production… I’d love to do more (wink wink)

30 Second Girls

The whole idea behind “Country Club” is actually quite self explanatory… the guys in the band weren’t working class kids having a hard time in life and they are not about to pretend they are… so they wrote a full album about the ins and outs of life on the top percent, on the life in the club.

So we started on the shield, the crest, the coat of arms and ran it all from there. We worked on some ideas for the photo shoots that were later used for promotion and the whole idea behind these preppy douche bags living it up came to be. The art for the album was kept simple as to not give away much from the overall idea that would be realized later on with the live shows and videos. It’s all based on an actual blazer with the crest sewed onto.

And of course… the golf…

A graphics package for Discovery Presenta (Discovery Feature Presentation for Discovery Latin America).

The idea was to recreate and animate a stereographic timeline of the world on top of the discovery planet as a sort of diorama for all the things to be featured on the spot.

It was really challenging doing it all (well… most of it) in after effects and the final look panned out quite nicely thanks to a great design by cristina briceño (www.totuma.net).

I was in charge of animation, compositing and generally blowing shit up.

So, back to the drawing board but the idea was to keep certain elements of the previous artwork so it wasn’t a brand new cd… (just ’cause it was not!), so we kept the argyle pattern and the turquoise color and started up from there.

The idea for the logo was to get a perfect circle (for some of the applications mentioned before) and use the 1ra (1st in spanish) and nothing more, and they wanted an emblem or a crest (kinda like cadillac) but very young and poppy and crap… so… this is what came out.

It was real fun cause it was like doing another draft of the design and i liked it a lot.
